Meet the School Counselor at Wake Forest Elementary!

My name is Ms. Engerer and I am the School Counselor at Wake Forest Elementary School.  Originally from Pennsylvania, I went to Ithaca College to pursue my B.A. in Sociology.  I received my M.A. in Counseling from Wake Forest University.  Go Deacs!! J  I am a National Certified Counselor and am here to help students be the best they can be!

When will I see the counselor?

I will be meeting with children in the classrooms, during small groups, and individually throughout the school year.  I also work with teachers, administrators, and parents to help support the students.

How do I make an appointment with the counselor?

Students should get a referral form from their teacher or from the folder outside my office.  Complete this form and return it to my basket next to my door.  I will then schedule a time for us to meet.  Parents may call to set up an appointment.

Why should I see the counselor?

There are many reasons to meet with the school counselor.  Some of them may include friendships, family trouble, stress, school problems, or anything else that is on your mind.  Students are encouraged to share positive news, too!  Remember – I am here to help you be the best person you can be!!!
